Frozen Pup Cups (Recipe Inside)

Chocolate lab puppy with tongue sticking out

We like to provide the shelter animals with varying kinds of enrichment.  Our staff whipped up this quick little frozen gem after we had a large amount of plain Greek yogurt donated.  Needless to say, our shelter dogs are happy with the results.

Our "Secret" Pup Cup Recipe:

Yields 12--4 ounce cups

2 lbs. Plain, full fat yogurt

2 cups Natural Peanut Butter (no artificial sweeteners!)

Fruit or vegetables to mix in (bananas, carrots, peas, cucumber, celery, sweet potatoes, pumpkin, apples)

Mix yogurt and peanut butter.  It will kind of look mousse-like.  Add whatever fruit or vegetable into the mix or use as garnish.  Spoon into serving cups.  We used 4 oz. food service cups.  Freeze until solid.  Serve to your excited pet.
