In association with Texas Recycles Day, the City of Grapevine and Keep Grapevine Beautiful will host an event to collect Recyclables at the Municipal Service Center, 501 Shady Brook Drive.
NOTE: Attendees may experience significant wait times during this event due to the number of residents expected to attend.
WEATHER: Events are Weather dependent and subject to change or cancellation.
MODIFICATIONS: This year's Grapevine Recycles Day will be a somewhat normal event; however, we will not be using clipboards or survey collection data sheets. Volunteers will assist unloading materials and placing them in their appropriate locations. We do ask that you follow COVID-19 requirements, if any, regarding face coverings and maintain social distancing from those who are not in your party.
Acceptable Items include:
Paper Shredding (limit of 5 "office" boxes or 200 lbs)
Styrofoam (Clean, white packing foam and packing peanuts only. No food/drink foam.)
Cell phones and PDAs
Eye Glasses & Hearing Aids
Ink Jet/Toner cartridges
Donation Items (Clothes, Shoes & Reuse Items)
Items that will NOT be accepted are: - MATTERESSES
- HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE (paint, oil, pesticide/herbicides, etc.), NO LIQUIDS of any kind, unknown waste, ammunition/explosives, closed cylinders (i.e.,propane tanks), medical waste, radioactive material, commercial or business waste. - LIGHT BULBS (Flourescent, Compact Flourescent and LED)
One Canned or Dry Food item is requested; however, this event is provided free of charge to Grapevine residents.
FOOD: - Canned and dry foods will be collected for families in need at this event. Goods will be distributed by GRACE.
TOYS: - The City of Grapevine Police Department will accept (new only) unwrapped toys at the event. New toy donations are administered through the Santa Cop program.
