Applicants who successfully pass the Oral Board interview will undergo an extensive background investigation. The background investigation will include a criminal history check, credit check and a polygraph examination, plus various other investigative checks as deemed necessary by the Background Investigator. One important aspect of the background investigation is a comparison between all previous applications with other law enforcement agencies.
Applicants who receive a Conditional Job Offer must also successfully pass a Psychological Examination, Drug Screen and Physical Examination.
